Natural gravel or sand are usually dredged or dug from a pit, river, lake, seabed or mountain, and artificial aggregate is produced by crushing quarry rocks, boulders, cobbles, or large-size gravels. Aggregate processing consists of crushing, screening, and washing the aggregate to obtain proper cleanliness and size. If necessary, a benefaction process such as jigging or heavy media separation can be used to upgrade the quality.

This is the process of aggregate crushing plant: The big materials are fed into the jaw crusher evenly and gradually by vibrating feeder through hopper for primary crushing. After first crushing, the material will be transferred to impact crusher or cone crusher by belt conveyor for second crush; the crushed materials will then be transferred to vibrating screen for separating. After separated, the part that can meet standard will be taken away as final products, while the other part will return to impact crusher or cone crusher, thus forming a closed circuit. Size of final products can be combined and graded according to customer’s specific requests.
